Ground Tying and Hobbling
[KMAAV306]
$39.99

When visiting an Amish community you will undoubtedly drive by acres of farmland. It is an awesome sight to see a four or six up team of horses standing hooked to the plow with no one around. Is this a special training exercise they teach their horses? I had to stop and ask. I found it to be a practical idea that they used.

Every horse needs to learn to stand still especially for emergency situations. Teach your horse to stand still while your farrier works on him without being held or tied. This exercise is simple but necessary for those young riders in mind. Protect them from having their feet stepped on.

By mastering ground tying and hobbling, we can safely give our horses a break when out on a long trail ride.
