This class does it all.

It requires three horses; an unstarted colt, (which is optional and for experienced riders only) a green broke horse, and a broke horse for learning advanced training. By working three different horses students are certain to work with both easy and difficult personalities. Another great benefit to using horses at different levels of training is that a student learns a much broader range of skills. Students are welcome to bring any or all of the horses they will be working with. This is a great option because you own the horse you put so much time into. Many students who attend these classes live so far away that transportation becomes impractical. For these students, we provide horses free of charge.

Sessions begin in the round pen, where both horse and rider learn that control can be maintained without restraint.  By the end of the class, you could accomplish trotting and loping a sidepass, rollbacks, collection and sliding stops.  Ken will guide you through each new lesson with patience and a wealth of knowledge gained from a lifetime of riding and training.  Our small class size allows each rider to get plenty of individual attention, and to progress at his or her own speed.

Whether you are looking to start training horses for others, or just have a desire to improve your relationship and understanding with your own horse, this class will bring your horsemanship to a new level.  Not only will you learn about training horses, you will truly experience the big sky and the spirit of the west.
