The following is a list of topics that can be covered but changes with the experience of each rider. An experienced rider might start with the information from Day 3 and continue working on advanced performance exercises throughout the 3 days. A beginner could start with giving to the bit, understanding collection and following the topics suggested. With this in mind, you get to watch a variety of riders and horses learn, work through issues, and perform at outstanding levels. Many of our inquirers have asked for a specific list on what is taught, and we hope this helps. It is an outline for some basic topics that could be covered. Please keep in mind the flexibility of Ken's clinics are designed to meet the needs of individual riders and their horses.

Topics Covered:
Day 1

  Groundwork - Basic through Advanced
- Does your horse follow you through thick and thin?
In the saddle - What does your balance and your seat communicate to your horse?
- Communication through your hands, feet & legs
Suppling your horse and light hands - Giving to the Bit, Breaking at the Poll, Head Elevation

Day 2

Collected Movement - Forward & backing "walk, trot, lope"
Lateral Movement - Through the shoulders
- Side passing
Backing a diagonal Remember, this is a list of exercises that can be covered; however, Ken works with each person at his or her own speed. Ken takes time for you. Your horse can only learn so many exercises in a clinic, so it is best to be performing these collected and with a soft cue. Ken can help you with English, Western, Reining, Dressage, Barrel Racing, Showing, and much, much more.
